We knew about the up front charge of $80 to cover the expenses of coming out to the house to look at our dishwasher. We thought we were paying for a more thorough diagnosis process than taking the bottom plate off and checking the wires for power and writing a bill for $90(labor and tax included). He was in our house a total of 10 minutes to tell us we needed to call an electrician. I asked the technician if that was all he was going to do. He said "yes" and said "call us back out after the electrician comes out"(for another minimum charge of $80). So after he left, I pulled the dishwasher out and noticed the gfci was tripped. I reset it and the dishwasher works fine. I am not licensed in any trades, but was able to do this in matter of minutes. I would have been fine to pay the guy to figure this out and push a button to reset the gfci. I called to speak to a manager to let her know the minimal troubleshooting that was done. AT LEAST PULL THE DISHWASHER OUT! She was pleasant, but only refunded me the $5 in labor. I can't help but wonder if they need an electrician to install their appliances? Very disappointed.

Lyle's provided us with, by far, the BEST appliance purchase experience we have ever had. Our 14+ year old refrigerator was on the fritz. I first called to inquire about a repair, but then decided the cost of repair for an old appliance didn't make sense. Instead of hanging up or trying to sell us something new, they transferred me to their head repair tech, who walked me through what I could do to fix the problem myself.

Very honest and extremely heplful!! Great customer service!!!

This worked for a little while, but eventually it was beyond repair. When my wife and I came to the store, they discussed with us the best solution for our awkward kitchen layout. When the refrigerator arrived, it was the same guys who came out to install it. They were completely focused on their work, and left with everything in working order. They even showed my wife how to change the water filter, even though it wouldn't need to be replaced for 6-12 months.

Our dishwasher started giving us problems less than a year after its purchase from Lyles. It took several months to resolve its issues, and at least three trips to our home, but Lyles stuck with it until it was fixed correctly and working like new. I am more than pleased with the service we received. Thank you, Lyle's!

Good group of techs they know there stuff

When people suggest buying local from a family-run business, this is the experience they are referring to. It is nice to know there are still businesses that are looking out for the customer's best interests before all else. It paid off for us, and we will continue to give Lyle's our business in the future and recommend our friends and family.
